The Wine Advocate
The purple-colored, 100% Tempranillo 2005 Valderiz sports a bouquet of cedar, scorched earth, violets, and blackberry. Structured on the palate but with only moderate depth, it has savory flavors, plenty of earthy spice notes, and a bit of tannin in the finish. It will evolve for several years but its appeal will always be directed to the intellect.
